The Major difference is now they are going to be on a 8 hour timer rather then the 23 hour timer they use to be on.....
At the same time Zynga have announced that they are bringing back gifting events, BUT less gifts needed to be exchanged to complete the event, Personally I'm really sick of these gifting events, EVEN if we need less gifts sure the first few needed 24 gifts per gold mastery, then it was 28 gifts each time around.
What will it be this time? 2, 4, and 8? 14 gifts in total? that's still 126 Gifts to triple mastery a stupid event to "keep up with the Joneses"
How about changing the events for something with less GIFTING required!
They just need to make the gifting less time consuming.. click, wait.... click,wait.... click, wait.. It's ridiculous.

It's a welcomed change to go back to what it was, but may be a little too late... soooo many people have quit/left my mafia the past few weeks... and I don't blame them.. Zynga has ruined this once awesome game.
I was a daily player for over a year, never using any bookmarklets or anything. I built my energy, stamina, and attack high, and would end up on the fight page with me as a lvl 490 against players ranked lvl 1800 to well over lvl 2000...no way to win. The gifting events and missions have ruined the game...so I haven't played in over a week now. Kind of nice actually, not having to click a thousand times a day to maybe get a +4 added to my attack. I wish the rest of you good luck on it, but, at least for now, I'm done with it.
ReplyDeletei quit right before the mini energy packs were rolled out to my account. most people had them. the gifting events, 1 on top of another, were they overlapping? felt like it... took away all the fun of the game. mini energy packs looked like a nightmare.
ReplyDeletei played for 2 years, maybe longer. i have a nostalgia for the simple days of fighting, vengeance, getting even... it was my way to vent after a long day of work being nice to people in retail. to turn on computer & feel like i had new obligations? more work to do? PLUS, it got so complicated... i miss it but not enough to bother to open up the game. maybe if i get a few weeks of rain & run out of housecleaning to do, but at this point, i prefer cleaning out the cat litter box to Mafia Wars.
i barely play now myself... my fight list is zombie land... no one is alive to fight... i watch my friends ice away and i can't even get a power attack in... it actually encourages me to empty the kitty litter lol... but only play to chat to my friends and if i see their post click and help... the game is dead boring otherwise ...if they didn't play i would not miss it

ReplyDeleteThere isn't an 8 hour timer. My energy won't be available for 24 hours and I only used it once and it was the 125% revamp.
ReplyDeleteI have played almost 2 years, but this sunday I took the decision to stop... Too much gifting and nothing else to do.
