Put Em on ICE
A New style event is coming out on slow release, This one centres around ICING
The popup doesn't give much more details then what is ICING and how to ICE someone
The Mastery Rewards are nice, get 200 Ices in the next 11 and a bit days shouldn't be hard even for a low level player, And a special reward for getting 1,000 ICE's
Here is the Tundra Tiger in its Ruby Status 89 Attack and 138 Defence ain't shabby!
And the Talking Stalk was also added to the inventory today, This could be the mystery prize for getting 1K Ices during the event
Now just to find someone alive on the fightlist to kill!

Reallocate your skills points
For a LONG time now players have been asking to reallocate their skill points, back long before energy accounts became useless and back long before even Cuba was released!
Well today is the day it finally happens... well sort of.... there are 2 options in the marketplace Reallocate 50 Skills for 50RP and 10 skill points for 10RP
First, where to find them in the marketplace under Stats.
Now how do they work? After choosing the package you want, you are then taken to a snap shot of your profile page, choose the stat you want to reduce for 50RP, I chose Heath
50 extra skill points where added to my pool, bring it up to 1432 skills unallocated, and 50 points where taken off my health
Overall this sounds like a good idea so far, and as far as we know it can only use each once a day, but 50 skills for 50RP doesn't sound to bad does it? Or Does it?
Well Lets thing about it for a second..... the Speed ups in the Chop Shop and Weapons Depot, provide the most Skill points for Reward Points
For adding attack and defence, if you head into the weapons depot and buy the Hack Blade or Stun knuckles they are both 6 skills for 12 Reward Points spent speeding up the depot, that's 1 Skill per 2 Reward points, Simple enough.... Lets say you don't have the Special parts, and you are buying the Rail gun and Plasma Rifle, that's still 5 Skills per 12 Reward points, costing you 2.4RP per Skill point
The same goes for Energy and Stamina, the Rebel 2 and Solar Flare both give 6 Skills for 12 Reward points, thats 1 Skill for 2 Reward points
And Lastly Health, well you can buy 20 Health points for 12 Reward points in the Private Zoo so thats even cheaper at 1.6 Reward points for 1 Skill point!
So Lets think about this, reallocate 50 Skills for 50 Reward point, your not actually GAINING anything, your just moving stuff around.....
For 100 Reward points, you could keep the 50 that you where going to move around, AND buy another 50 Skill points, Sure its twice the price, but at least your gaining something out of the transaction!
But there is some good news, With the option to re-allocate Skill points getting more Attack and Defence just got cheaper!....
Here is how you do it.... to Get 60 Attack or Defence normally you would Buy Hack Blades or Stun Knuckles in the Weapons Depot. That is assuming you have the weapon parts and the Special Parts, if you did 60 Skills would set you back 120RP, If your out of Special parts, and have to buy Rail Guns or Plasma Rifles you will end up spending 144RP for the same 60 skill points
Worst of all when your done, you have the skill points but the loot is almost worthless!
Now here is where your savings come in, Go to your Private Zoo instead, Spend your Reward points there, buy the Warthog if your on a budget or the Wildebeest if the loot will help you, 74 Attack isnt shabby only beaten by the Talon in FHEL5 Purchase one of these three times, Total Costs 36 Reward Points, Total Gain 60 Health points
Now take those Skill points and go back into the Market place, and reallocate them into Attack or Defence
End of Day Result
Total Spent 96RP
Total Gained 60 Attack or Defence
Total Saved 24-44RP
Sure its limited to once per day, But then a Saving is a Saving!

How to remove Mafia Wars access to Facebook Chat
After having a chance to test out the Facebook Chat feature in Mafia Wars and understanding the risks to my friends if my account was ever compromised. I decided that leaving Mafia Wars with permissions to access the Facebook chat was a risk I just wasn't going to take!
So How to remove Permissions from Mafia Wars
Step 2 - Edit your Settings in the bottom left corner
Now Zynga no longer has access to your Facebook chat, and cant send messages on your behalf

Permissions
Declare War Chat featurette
The Declare ware feature was updated recently with the new Chat interface... First the basics
After you have given the permissions you should get the following popup in the middle of your screen, it should list players that are online and play Mafia Wars, so you can ask for help in your Wars
During my test, I actually logged into a Second account to try and ask for help from my account, Nope no luck, asked around and found another 5 players who where online at the time, had chat running, and where playing Mafia Wars... None of them came up as options either
That's it, "Hey there, Please help me in my War. Tinyurl-here"
Now this is where the complaints start, First if anyone remembers the Link-A-Nator, when it was using the TinyURL Service there was many a day when the Tinyurl service had been overloaded, and Mafia Wars leaning on it isn't going to help!
The Second problem is ANYONE can type a message in the chat interface and drop in a TinyURL that could go to anything, and you would never be the wiser.... We all warn other users on Facebook not to click on TinyURLs that you don't know where they go, you don't click on anything you aren't 100% sure of specially with all the virus and scams going around Facebook every other week
Now if Team Spockholm can make their own TinyURL service the spockon.me redirects, Why can't Zynga? Why cant they make a http://zyn.ga/MafiaWars/my-war-url-here at least then it wouldn't be a public service, we would all know that its safe to click!
Lastly, if your Facebook account is hacked, Mafia Wars already has permission to auto publish to chat, How long is it going to take till the next round of virus use these automated chat messages to spread and exploit more players?
Thanks Zynga and the Mafia Wars Studio, this has to be the worst idea you have come up with so far, you have successfully put every account in danger, as well playing Mafia Wars a lot more dangerous for your Facebook account!
Well the Chat option makes 3 of the 4 updates we where promised, The good news is its fairly hard to stuff up click to heal, But we know Zynga will try their hardest to do so!
Click Chat, Get the permissions Popup. Click to give permissions, and then click to give permissions AGAIN
After you have given the permissions you should get the following popup in the middle of your screen, it should list players that are online and play Mafia Wars, so you can ask for help in your Wars

This seems like another Epic Zynga Fail, 126 People ONLINE according to Facebook, and not one came up as a option to ask for help from
If you happen to find someone who is online and Zynga lets you send a message... This is a copy of what's sent, Dont expect to see this on your game, these message are sent without your knowledge, and wont popup like this
That's it, "Hey there, Please help me in my War. Tinyurl-here"

Wars updated again
Wars where only updated 5 days ago, yet it seems Zynga is at it again pushing more updates to the war feature
Today we got this popup
The New Achievements sound good, but the Facebook Chat is what worries me, personally I hate the idea and when it was mentioned a week ago so did those who commented here
Today we got this popup
Coming soon, Heal your friends
New Achievements, We just got 2 New achievementsNew Damage, Now based on Skill Points rather then click to win, and also with Splash damage, so you can take out a opponent and damage another
And coming Soon, intergeneration with Facebook Chat
So far, only 1 new feature has gotten to us the splash damage which sounds like a nice feature, but when i tested it below with my super strong energy account, I managed to take out my opponent and perform splash damage to another player

The Hidden Atlantic City Chapter
As we all know Atlantic City has been out for quite some time now, and at first there where 2 chapters, since then 2 more have been added for 4 chapters in total
Well It seems Zynga over developed Atlantic City, and had another chapter that was never released... the "Petty Crimes" Chapter
Unfortunately there isn't any Mastery Reward, but there is a extra 24 skill points you can pick up if you wish to complete the chapter
Now because it was never released, Zynga hasnt added it to the drop down job choice, but there is still a way to access the chapter thanks to Mafia Secrets
First unframe Atlantic city this can be done by clicking on this link
If everything works to plan, your first job should now be called "Hire Some Local Pickpockets"
The bad news is like all Atlantic City chapters they are energy hunger, this one slightly less so. But you will still spend around 20K energy to complete all 6 jobs to Ruby Mastery
My question is why Zynga never released it, with all the events and other things they can pump out back to back, why not release this extra chapter for us, why not let those who have little to do in the game complete the extra chapter?
